1755 Tapestry | Pura Cal
Pura Cal
"1755. Cataclysm. Catharsis. Ruins and smoke, wrecks of new identity. A track of destruction announces the beginning of a new era... New times, new history!"
Tiago Patrício Rodrigues created this piece inspired by the most remarkable event in the history of the city of Lisbon, the earthquake of 1755. This is a tapestry produced manually that combines various techniques and materials, Jute and Wool. The piece was produced by Taperias Ferreira de Sá, a world reference in the art of hand-made tapestry.
