In the 2019 edition of the Festa das Mesas, Pura Cal creates a table with a very different aesthetic, a tribute to the first female Portuguese artist with international recognition, “Josefa de Óbidos”. An ambience that shows in a totally contemporary way, the artist's imagination, the theatricality and opulence of the Baroque. A table full of meanings and symbols, that relate the secular art of “table setting" with current ways of being. An exercise that also reflects new forms of ostentation and luxury, where the sophistication of materials mixes technology and manual know-how.
