For centuries, blue was considered the rarest and most precious of all colours. In Catholic culture, it was associated with Mary, the mother of Jesus, given its religious importance, and until the middle of the 19th century, Christmas time was also associated with blue for a long part of this historic period.

Pura Cal Studio created a Christmas Eve table that brings back the ancestral tradition of using blue in Christmas decorations, making a transition to contemporary times. A combination of a certain rustic contemporary informality, and the sophisticated imaginary universe of artist Bela Silva, revealing distant times and periods far away, honouring ancient stories and ways of life.

Natural materials and textures are combined in a clean language, characterized by nature, bringing together family ancient heritage pieces with contemporary Mateus Ceramics, pure linens, traditional weaving, antique glass, and silver. All of this creates a mood that translates into new forms of being and timeless memories.
