Teresa Rego explores and crosses artistic movements such as Cubism, Matisse's Lyrical Abstractionism, and the “Memphis” group, in representations inspired by natural geometry and the fusion between abstract forms and forms present in nature.

Compositions that are based on the joining, interaction, and overlapping of shapes until they are diluted in the drawing. Strong and contrasting colors also contribute to the dissolution of the contours of the image, through abstraction.
