Albert Tannat was born in the Swiss Alps and spent the early days of his adult life as a sailor, traveling across the northern seas. He deserts during one of those travels in Tangier, Morroco, where he decides to stay for many years. He confronts himself with animal guts and the intense smells of the dirty and dusty streets. There he finds the plasticity of the world, creating pictorial memories of his exotic surroundings.
